Cover-up Tattoos

Sometimes people like to change a tattoo.
It can be that the previous tattoo artist used low quality ink, causing the tattoo to fade with time, maybe somebody does not like a certain tattoo design anymore,
a guy has the name of his girlfriend tattooed on his arm and they split up, somebody has a scar and wants it covered, etcetera.

Quite often I can do something about this.
There are different ways to get cover-up work, depending on the situation.
I have to work with form, colour and shape, so the new tattoo looks nothing like the old one.
A name can be tastefully camouflaged with a small design, making the name impossible to read.
If it is the entire thing you want camouflaged, it could be covered with another design. I can play with and use the existing and new colours, form, etc.

In all cases, the existing tattoo (or scar) has to be worked into a new design that will cover and disguise what's there.
Take a look at the before-after pictures on this page to give you some idea. Of course, much more than shown here is possible.
With the advances in technology, technique and the availibility of new, brighter colours in the past few years, faded or blurred tattoos can look brighter and sharper than when they were new.

Some touch-up work makes the tattoo significantly better looking than it ever was, actually improving on the original tattoo.
